đ Russell Wilson Is Headed to the Big Apple
The New York Giants are officially shaking things up at quarterbackâSuper Bowl champ Russell Wilson just signed a one-year deal worth up to $21 million, with $10.5 million guaranteed.
After weighing offers from the Steelers and Browns, Russ is returning to the same MetLife Stadium where he hoisted the Lombardi
Trophy with the Seahawks in Super Bowl XLVIII.
Now, heâs back in blueâonly this time, itâs Giants blueâand ready to lead the huddle as the expected starter.
đ§ The Giants’ QB Room Just Got Juicy
Wilson wonât be alone.
The Giants also added Jameis Winston (2 years, $8 million), and Tommy DeVito is still in the mix after playing in 12 games over the last two seasons.
Letâs be realâthese arenât long-term deals.
This move gives New York veteran leadership now, while keeping the door wide open to draft their QB of the future.
And with the No. 3 overall pick, donât be surprised if they do just that.
đ Wilsonâs Journey Back To New York
This move has been a long time coming.
Word is Wilson initiated a meeting with the Giants last offseason, but the team stuck with Daniel Jones for one last shot.
That ship has sailed.
Wilson spent last season in Pittsburgh where he started strongâgoing 6-1 after taking over in Week 7âbut the Steelers ended the season on a five-game losing streak.
Despite the stumble, Wilson still finished with a respectable 16 touchdowns and 63.7% completion rate.
Before that, we saw the Denver chapter (weâll call it âcomplicatedâ), and of course, his legendary run with the Seahawks, where he made nine straight playoff appearances and threw 350 career TDs.

đ Whatâs Next For The G-Men?
Wilson gives the Giants a seasoned starter for 2025âbut donât rule out a rookie QB landing in the Big Apple.
This move buys time, adds competition, and signals one thing loud and clear:Â New York is serious about finding their next franchise QB.
And with Aaron Rodgers still figuring out his next move, this officially takes the Giants off the board.
Could the Steelers double back for Rodgers? Weâll be watching.
