Roddy Ricch arrested in NYC before Governors Ball for gun possession

Roddy Ricch was arrested for gun possession in Queens on Saturday (June 11) just hours before he was slated to perform at Governors Ball Music Festival

The 23-year-old rapper, whose real name is Rodrick Moore, and two other men were in a car in Flushing Meadows Corona Park around 6:30 p.m. when police stopped them and found a loaded firearm.

Moore, Carlos Collins, 57, of New Jersey, and Michael Figueroa, 46, of Brooklyn, were all charged with criminal possession of a weapon.

Roddy was also charged with possession of a large capacity ammo feeding device and unlawful possession of that device.

Due to his arrest, Roddy Ricch’s set at the Governors Ball Music Festival was canceled.

Unfortunately, Roddy Ricch is no longer performing today.

At the time of this post, the rapper is still in custody waiting to appear in court for arraignment.
