The “Good Morning America” anchor and her longtime partner of 18 years tied the knot in front of their family and friends on Friday, September 8, with an intimate ceremony in their backyard.

‘Yes’ To Marriage

At the top of the year, Robin revealed she and Amber would be tying the knot this year during a convo with Gabby Berstein

Robin said:

I’m saying ‘yes’ to marriage. I’m saying ‘yes’ to marriage – we’re getting married this year.

It’s something we have talked about but we had put it off…she became ill..and it is saying ‘yes’ to that and that next chapter.

I can’t believe I just said that.

A few days ago, Robin Roberts shared a short video via Instagram of her and Amber Laign going to get their marriage license.

The caption read, “Road to the Ring is nearing an end…18 years and totally worth the wait! #ThankfulThursday #HappyWeddingEve😉…this is take 2 that includes the 3 Rings of Marriage.”

See the post below.

Robin Roberts & Amber Laign’s Wedding

Robin Roberts took to her Instagram page to share the first photo of herself and her wife on their wedding day.

The brides wore wedding gowns custom-made by designers Mark Badgley and James Mischka.

The caption read:

An intimate, magical wedding ceremony in our backyard followed by a joyous reception…ohhhh the dancing!! We are immensely grateful to all for making it a day and a night to remember. Honeymoon here we come!

Even their dog, Lil Man Lukas got jazzy for his mama’s wedding day.

Robin even shared one of many highlights from their reception.

Road To The Ring

Robin Roberts and Amber Laign’s Road to the Ring hasn’t been an easy one.

In 2007, Robin was diagnosed with triple-negative breast cancer at the age of 46.

She went into remission, but five years later, she was diagnosed with a rare blood and bone marrow disease called myelodysplastic syndrome and needed a bone marrow transplant to survive.

At the end of 2021, Amber Laign was diagnosed with breast cancer.

Amber underwent surgery and began chemotherapy.

In July 2022, Robin celebrated Amber completing her radiation treatment.

Robin and Amber began honoring their vows of through sickness and health many years ago.

Now, I wish them nothing but Happily Ever After.

Congratulations!
