Atlanta rapper Trouble was fatally shot early Sunday morning in Rockdale County, Georgia, and police have named Jamichael Jones as a suspect.

The rapper, whose real name is Mariel Semonte Orr, was shot around 3:20 a.m. on Sunday morning at the Lake St. James apartment complex at 50 St. James Drive in Conyers.

Police arrived on the scene and found the rapper lying on the ground with a gunshot wound to the chest.

Trouble was taken to a local hospital where he later died.

He was 34.

Rockdale County Sheriff’s Office has made no arrests, but they have obtained an arrest warrant for 33-year-old Jamichael Jones, charging him with felony murder, home invasion, and aggravated assault.

During the press conference, authorities say Trouble was visiting a female friend at the complex when the shooting occurred.

The suspect, Jamichael Jones, knew the female but he did not know Trouble.

Jones entered the apartment and shot the rapper.

The Rockdale County Sheriff’s Office believes the shooting was a “domestic situation.”
