BET has announced they are bringing back “Rap City,” the longest running rap show in history, for a one-hour special edition in celebration of the 2021 “BET Hip Hop Awards.”

Rap City ’21,” executive produced and hosted by Darian “Big Tigger” Morgan, will celebrate the culture with exclusive interviews, memorable freestyles from the booth, and never-before-seen footage. 

In a statement, Tigger said: 

I’m excited at the opportunity to revive this legendary piece of culture! All your favorite stars and their bars on display

He also took to Instagram and teased the return of the show writing: 

This is not a drill… This is not a throwback… #RapCity21 ‼️Details soon… ???????????????? #RapCityRaisedMe #ATL

Rap City ’21” is slated to premiere on Tuesday, October 5 at 8 p.m. ET followed by the 2021 “BET Hip Hop Awards.”
