This was not on my 2022 Bingo Card or my Christmas Wish List, but R. Kelly has released a new album titled, I Admit It.
The album, which dropped on December 9, offers 13 tracks, including three tracks “I Admit It (I Did It).”
On the three tracks, R. Kelly “admits” to all of his wrongdoings throughout his life, but vehemently denies being a predator who sexually abuses women and underage girls.
This entire album, including the title, is a money grab.
Some of you may remember that “I Admit It (I Did It)” was released four years ago.
The 55-year-old disgraced singer, whose real name is Robert Sylvester Kelly, was convicted on three child pornography charges, three counts of enticing minors for sex, and acquitted on two additional counts.
He is currently serving a 30-year prison sentence.
R. Kelly is trending on social media as people react to the release of this “new” album.
One person tweeted, “If you’re promoting R Kelly’s album, you’re weird and clearly don’t give a f**k about black girls and black women.”
Masika Kalysha admitted, “R Kelly done dropped a damn album from jail… I feel horrible because I wanna damn listen to it ?”

*UPDATE* (2:30 p.m. EST) – The album appears to have been removed from Apple Music.
