Daniel Carney Found Guilty Of Sexual Assaulting His Wife's Bridesmaid Two Days Before Their Wedding

Daniel Carney married his wife in 2019 despite allegations of him sexually assaulting one of her bridesmaids, and he was found guilty on Thursday (May 12), in a Monroe County Courthouse, in Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania.

After nine hours of deliberation, the jury found Daniel guilty of attempted sexual assault, aggravated indecent assault without consent, simple assault, and indecent assault without consent.

His charges equate to two felonies and two misdemeanors.

The incident occurred two days before the wedding in August of 2019 after the wedding party took a rafting trip down the Delaware River.

Once they got back to the shore, Daniel allegedly led the intoxicated bridesmaid to the men’s locker room inside the Shawnee Inn Resort.

The prosecution said video shows Daniel pulling the bridesmaid into the Shawnee Inn locker room before the reported assault, and Daniel’s wife and her maid-of-honor finding them.

Reportedly, after being found, the bridesmaid asked the maid-of-honor “what happened?”

The video also shows the bridesmaid swaying and unable to stand up straight once everyone leaves.

According to Daniel, the bridesmaid came on to him as he was going to take a shower, but the prosecution pointed out the only thing Daniel took to the shower with him was the bridesmaid.

Text messages from the wedding day between Daniel and the bridesmaid show Daniel apologizing, saying he loves his soon-to-be-wife and begging the bridesmaid to take Plan B.
