Netflix is gearing up for the release of its highly anticipated dark comedy series, “No Good Deed,” set to premiere this December.
The show centers around three families vying for the chance to purchase the same charming 1920s Los Angeles villa.
However, what starts as the perfect dream home soon turns into a nightmarish competition, uncovering secrets and challenges for each household.
“No Good Deed” spans eight half-hour episodes, packed with humor and drama as the families’ quest to own this Los Feliz property intensifies.
At the core of the story are Lydia and Paul Morgan, played by Lisa Kudrow and Ray Romano, a married couple grappling with the decision to sell their longtime family home.
Paul, a stressed contractor, sees selling the house as his ticket to retirement and financial relief.
But for Lydia, a former concert pianist, parting with the home filled with cherished memories isn’t so easy.
Together, they face dark secrets from their past as they try to move forward.
As the Morgans struggle with their decision, other potential buyers enter the fray.
Margo Starling, portrayed by Christina Applegate, is an ambitious status-seeker who hopes to flip the property for profit.
JD Campbell, played by Luke Wilson, is a former soap star looking to downsize and maintain his lavish lifestyle.
Meanwhile, Carla, played by Teyonah Parris, and her husband Dennis, portrayed by O-T Fagbenle, are expecting their first child and believe the home could be the perfect spot to start their family, despite their own financial concerns.
The cast also features Abbi Jacobson as Leslie Fisher, Poppy Liu as Sarah, Denis Leary as Mikey, Matt Rogers as Greg, Anna Maria Horsford as Denise, Kate Moennig as Gwen, Linda Lavin as Phyllis, and Wyatt Aubrey as Jacob, adding layers of complexity and humor to the storyline.
With its intriguing blend of comedy, suspense, and family dynamics, “No Good Deed” promises to keep viewers hooked from start to finish.
The series explores the lengths people will go to secure their dream home, even when it turns into something far more sinister.
