Nia Long is ready to tell her story…her way.
The 52-year-old iconic actress has partnered with 3a, an imprint of Gallery Books, to release her autobiography.
According to Essence magazine, who reported the exclusive, Nia Long’s book will focus on her career, motherhood, and activism, along with untold stories and personal reflections from the celebrated actress.
Nia told the magazine:
I am thrilled to have found a home for my memoir at Gallery and 13a.
My steps to finding divine purpose have been thoughtful and intentional. For better or worse, you will find truth and transparency in the storytelling, sprinkled with 90s nostalgia.
Nia Long also took to Instagram to add, “The best chapter is the next chapter! incredibly grateful for my kick a** team.”
See her original post below.
Nia Long burst onto the Hollywood scene in the 90s and would go on to star in many of the most iconic Black films like Boyz N’ The Hood, Friday, Love Jones, The Best Man, Big Momma’s House, Are We There Yet?, and many more.
For the majority of her career, Nia’s personal life remained private with her only sharing glimpses of what she wanted to share.
That is until her ex-fiance, Ime Udoka, blew up her bubble of tranquility with an awful cheating scandal while he was head coach of the Boston Celtics.
Nia has been very vocal about how disappointment in how the organization handled the fiasco and the impact it has had on her 11-year-old son.
I’m sure those chapters of the memoir will be a real page-turner.
I will keep you posted on when Nia Long’s memoir will arrive and where you can purchase it when the information is released.
