When one door closed…a $10 million dollar door opened for Rory and Mal.
Less than six months after Rory Farrell and Jamil “Mal” Clay were fired from “The Joe Budden Podcast,” they have inked a $10 million deal to take their 4-month-old podcast to SiriusXM’s Stitcher.
“New Rory & Mal” will be released through Stitcher’s new More Sauce label.
The first episode will be released on November 2 with new episodes arriving every Tuesday and Friday.
In a recent interview with Vulture, the fellas were asked if they were concerned about Joe Budden making good on his promise to sue them if they start their own podcast.
Mal responded:
Yeah no, it’s not an issue for us. That’s something you would probably have to ask him, but it would be very funny — and a lot would be exposed — if he decided to do that.
Rory added:
That’s not a route he would want to go. I can assure you that.
Of course, the streets of social media are buzzing as folks react to the news of the huge deal.
Peep a few tweets below.
Congratulations to the fellas on their new deal!
