It seems NBA YoungBoy’s legal saga just keeps unfolding.
The Baton Rouge-born rap sensation, Kentrell Gaulden, finds himself in the spotlight once again, this time for getting arrested in Utah while under house arrest.
According to the Cache County Sheriff’s Office records, the 24-year-old was brought in on a host of charges on the evening of April 16, around 6:30 p.m.
The laundry list includes accusations like engaging in unlawful activities, trying to get his hands on drugs or prescriptions, dabbling in identity fraud, and even accusations of forgery.
And if that’s not enough, he’s also facing charges related to possession of controlled substances and carrying a dangerous weapon while being a restricted person.
But this isn’t NBA YoungBoy’s first dance with the legal system.
Remember that chaotic music video shoot from back in 2020? Well, it seems the fallout from that event is far from over.
He and sixteen others got tangled up in drug and firearm charges, leaving a legal mess that’s been haunting him ever since.
And then there’s the federal gun charges he’s been dealing with, which got put on hold back in March, awaiting the Supreme Court’s take on Second Amendment rights.
It’s been a waiting game since then, with YoungBoy trying to navigate his way through the legal labyrinth.
While serving house arrest in Utah, he’s been under tight surveillance by a security firm manned by military veterans.
Last December, a glimmer of hope emerged when a federal judge eased up on some of the house arrest conditions, allowing NBA YoungBoy to access mental health treatments.
However, his plea for more time in the studio to keep his music career afloat fell on deaf ears.
