Nashawn Breedlove, who starred alongside Eminem in the 2002 film, 8 Mile, passed away suddenly on September 24 and now his cause of death has been revealed. 

According to an autopsy report from New Jersey’s Office of the Chief State Medical Examiner, Nashawn died of acute intoxication by the combined effects of fentanyl, acetyl fentanyl, cocaine, and ethanol.

His death was ruled an accident. 

Nashawn died in his sleep at his New Jersey home on September 24, 2023, at the age of 46.

Patricia, the mother of Nashawn Breedlove, shared the news of her son’s death with a heartbreaking post on Facebook.

Dear family and friends,

It is with a heavy heart that I share the news of my beloved son Nashawn Breedlove’s passing. Many of you knew him by his alias” Lotto, Ox”, a name that echoed his resilience and determination. 

Nashawn was a rapper, singer, songwriter, and actor. No one could deny his talent.  

My sincerest condolences to those who knew and loved Nashawn. 

May he rest in peace.
