Mike Epps Speaks Out After Joking About Katt Williams’ ‘Fake’ Fendi Jacket

Mike Epps is speaking out after he received backlash for making a joke about Katt Williams‘ Fendi jacket during a recent stand-up comedy set.

The comedian and Friday After Next star was captured on video saying Katt had on a “fake” Fendi jacket during his viral “Club Shay Shay” interview with Shannon Sharpe.

During his stand-up comedy set, Mike Epps said:

It’s f— up, man. He just should have wore something different.

That lil hat that n— had on and that fake Fendi jacket.

That’s my n— tho. That’s my n—! That’s my n—!

Mike Epps took to his Instagram page and released a statement after everyone didn’t find the humor in his joke about Katt’s jacket.

I put all these mfs on and still putting comics on today none of yall brave enough or care enough to work with him or come around him stop making this s— so bad we comedians.

I put him in a movie when no one wanted to work with him some of that s— he said was true and some of it was not.

At the end of the day we all black men in a business that is not OURS I cracked on his jacket because that’s what comics do all this s— is marketing dummies.

The truth of the matter is Mike Epps inserted himself into the convo because Katt Williams didn’t mention him during his interview with Shannon. 

In a post on his Instagram Live, Mike said, “I did get a little jealous, man. Katt broke the internet and didn’t say my name – good or bad – I need the press too, n—!”

“Say something about me too in there, man. Say something bad about me. I don’t care. I got a special coming out. I need the press,” Mike added.
