Megan Thee Stallion is back with a bang, dropping the highly-anticipated music video for her hit track “Mamushi,” featuring Japanese artist Yuki Chiba.
This fan-favorite song has already sparked a viral dance trend, and Megan takes it to the next level in a visually stunning video filmed in Tokyo, Japan.
The video showcases Megan in a powerful role, embodying the venomous Japanese viper, the mamushi.
Alongside her, actor Shô Kasamatsu, known for his work in “Tokyo Vice” and “Gannibal,” adds to the cinematic experience.
Together, Megan and Yuki bring the heat to a sultry Japanese spa, where they execute a masterful strategy to take down gangsters.
In a striking scene inspired by Akira Kurosawa’s 1990 film “Dreams,” Megan Thee Stallion raises an army of blue-faced minions using the souls of the defeated gangsters.
The video’s breathtaking visuals were brought to life by director Kevin “Onda” Leyva, with production by Tokyo-based creative company Push Japan.
The opening spa scene was filmed at Tsurumaki Onsen Jinya, with the latter part of the video set against the historic backdrop of Engaku-ji Temple.
