Mase weighed on the sexual assault allegations against basketball star Dwight Howard on the latest episode of “It Is What It Is.”

Dwight Howard Accused Of Assault & Battery By A Man He Met On Instagram

We previously reported a man named Stephen Harper filed a shocking lawsuit claiming Dwight Howard forced him to participate in a threesome at his Atlanta home in July 2021.

Stephen says he connected with Dwight via Instagram DM in May and the two of them exchanged numerous flirtatious messages and explicit photos.

According to the lawsuit, in July 2021, Dwight Howard invited Stephen Harper to his Atlanta home, but advised him that his son was asleep and Stephen would have to leave before morning.

Stephen claims while en route to Dwight’s home, he received a text from the NBA star asking if he was interested in having a threesome and declined.

But, a while after arriving at Dwight Howard’s home, a man arrived, dressed as a woman, and called themselves “Kitty.”

In his lawsuit, Stephen Harper claims Kitty and Dwight engaged in sex and Dwight then forced him to perform a sex act on him.

Stephen said he felt “extremely violated and humiliated and was in complete shock.”

Consensual Sexual Activity

In court documents filed Monday, Dwight Howard said that he engaged in “consensual sexual activity” with Stephen Harper and denied all allegations of sexual assault and battery.

He asked a court to dismiss the lawsuit.

Dwight’s attorney, Justin Bailey, told ESPN:

What was a private consensual encounter was made public for profit and Mr. Howard looks forward to bringing the truth to light in a court of law.

The allegations against Mr. Howard are contested. Mr. Howard intends to present the truth. The truth is Mr. Howard blocked Mr. Harper on social media and then was confronted with two options — pay to protect his reputation or have a fabricated story made public.

Despite being an easy target due to the subject matter and his status as a celebrity, Mr. Howard chose to trust in the justice system and will rely on all future court filings to speak for themselves.

Bailey also added that Stephen Harper filed the lawsuit after he tried to extort Dwight and he was blocked on social media.

Mase Weights In On Dwight Howard’s Allegations

On the latest episode of his show, “It Is What It Is,” with Cam’ron and Treasure “Stat Baby” Wilson, Mase gave his unfiltered commentary on the allegations against Dwight Howard.

The Harlem rapper began by addressing the people who say they “don’t care what you do on your own time.”

We do care! And women…we gotta stop telling n—, ‘What you do in your own personal time has nothing to do with me.’ It does! It does matter. Those are the lies that are going on in society. We tell people it don’t matter, but behind your back, it matters.

You hear Stat saying this, ‘Because what people do in their bedroom that’s between them.’

Not necessarily true. But, I understand. You’re telling them it don’t matter. But, then it does matter. Anybody watching this knows it does matter.

‘It’s Never Consensual If You Surprise Somebody’

Mase went on to address Dwight Howard’s defense of saying his encounter with Stephen Harper was consensual.

It’s never consensual if you surprise somebody,” Mase said referring to Dwight allegedly inviting Kitty to his home for a threesome without Stephen Harper’s knowledge or consent.

“Just think…you’re somewhere…you’re with somebody and somebody walks through the side door with a leprechaun outfit on…it’s no longer consensual,” Mase added.

He continued, “Consensual is agreeing beforehand on what’s going to happen. If it’s not agreed to beforehand it’s not consensual.”

Dwight Howard Addresses The Allegations

While it wouldn’t be smart for Dwight Howard to comment on an ongoing lawsuit accusing him of sexual assault, he did use his social media to send a few messages to his “haters.”

Do you think Dwight Howard is guilty of what he’s accused of?
