Marlon Wayans offered Lupita Nyong’o some solid advice after she publicly announced her breakup with Selema Masekela.
The 40-year-old Oscar-winning actress took to social media on Thursday and wrote that “there are much more important things going on in the world right now, and my thoughts are with those who are deeply suffering.”
That aside, Lupita stated that she is publicly disassociating herself from “someone I can no longer trust.”
The Black Panther: Wakanda Forever actress shared she is “in a season of heartbreak because of a love suddenly and devastatingly extinguished by deception.”
Marlon Wayans was one of many celebrities who took a moment to comment on Lupita’s post with words of support or encouragement.
The comedian and actor advised Lupita to “Trust God. He wants better for you. All lessons are blessings, especially the painful ones.”
Marlon added, “This too shall pass. Warmest of hugs. Be kind to you as you heal.”
In closing, Marlon Wayans shared how he handles his own breakups.
“I always say whenever I have a breakup, ‘Lucky me, I get to love ME again. I missed you me’. Go love on you woman,” he wrote.
