Lil Wayne took to the streets of Twitter bright and early on Saturday to react to Kendrick Lamar name-dropping him on his new album, GNX.
On the album’s opening track, “Wacced Out Murals,” Kendrick addresses Weezy’s disappointment after learning Kendrick would headline the Super Bowl Halftime Show in New Orleans.
Used to bump Tha Carter III, I held my Rollie chain proud
Irony, I think my hard work let Lil Wayne down
Later on the track, Kendrick revisited the Super Bowl fallout saying:
Won the Super Bowl and Nas the only one congratulate me
All these ni**as agitated, I'm just glad they showin' they faces
Listen to the song below.
Lil Wayne took to Twitter – seemingly baffled as to why Kendrick Lamar name-dropped him in the song.
He also issued a very clear warning to leave him alone.
Weezy wrote:
Man wtf I do?!
I just be chillin & dey still kome 4 my head. Let’s not take kindness for weakness. Let this giant sleep. I beg u all. No one really wants destruction, not even me but I shall destroy if disturbed. On me. Love
Someone responded to Lil Wayne’s tweet to offer him some clarity.
You said the superbowl was taken from you when it wasn’t promised in the first place and never congratulated the artist who looked up to you and worked hard himself to get it, but now it’s “wtf I do?” Lol.

Kendrick Lamar didn’t diss Lil Wayne – he simply acknowledged his disappointment.
