Lil’ Kim recently took to social media to share a heartfelt message for those impacted by the devastating fires in Los Angeles.
However, her words have sparked mixed reactions online.
The 50-year-old Brooklyn rapper wrote:
Been sending strong prayers up for LA and everyone affected by the fires.
This is heartbreaking 💔🙏
I pray to Jesus that God make it monsoon in LA
🙏🙏🙏
You can see her original post below.
For context, a monsoon refers to a seasonal wind pattern that can bring either heavy rain or dry conditions.
While Lil’ Kim’s intentions were clearly heartfelt, some users criticized her post for seemingly wishing for another natural disaster to strike Los Angeles.
Here are a few reactions:
I get what she was trying to say but this is wild 😭😭😂😂 https://t.co/Di0DQu9AA1

Even after drawing criticism, Lil Kim didn’t remove her social media posts, however, she did turn off the comments on Instagram.
Please join me in sending up prayers for everyone impacted by the LA fires.
