LaTocha Scott tried to shut down The Queens of R&B Tour featuring SWV and Xscape by claiming unauthorized use of the group’s trademark.
LaTocha, who has severed her relationship with the group, including her sister, Tamika Scott, is not a part of the forthcoming tour.
However, LaTocha Scott had a law firm fire off a legal notice to Live Nation Entertainment and Monami Entertainment (Mona Scott Young) claiming they did not get her consent nor did they agree upon the financial terms for the use of the mark or to discuss her performance.
Performance? Baby, you were not invited.
Tamika Scott took to the streets of Instagram on Friday to confirm the tour is still on regarding of the outside foolishness and rumors.

The Xscape singer also offered a quick crash course in trademarks.
A co-owner of a trademark is unable to maintain an infringement action against another co-owner of the same trademark.
Each co-owner has the right to exercise its trademark rights, including granting licenses to third parties (i.e. Live Nation and Monami Entertainment).
“A valid licensee of one co-owner of a trademark cannot be liable to another co-owner for infringement.”
LaTocha Scott’s attorney didn’t know this before sending those people that letter?!
