Kenya Barris and his wife, Dr. Rani “Rainbow” Barris, are dipping their feet in the divorce pond for the third time.

The past two times, the couple decided to try to work things out, which is a good thing because a saved marriage is better than a failed marriage.

Dr. Rani filed for divorce first back in 2014, but the couple reconciled and withdrew the request in 2015.

Then, Kenya filed for divorce in 2019, and he later called it off.

According to new legal documents, Kenya Barris filed for divorce again this month at a Los Angeles courthouse.

The documents state that the couple has been separated since September 9, 2020.

Kenya and Rani wed in 1999, and they have six kids.

Four of their children are minors, ranging in age from 16 to 5.

Kenya is seeking joint physical and legal custody of the kids.

He will also pay spousal support, according to the documents.

Dr. Rani is an anesthesiologist in West Hollywood, and “Black-ish” was loosely based on Kenya and Rani’s marriage.

Kenya co-created the “Black-ish” spinoffs “Grown-ish” and “Mixed-ish.”

He also created and starred in “#blackAF,” which premiered on Netflix on April 17, 2020.
