Keke Palmer has been chosen by Nickelodeon to host their one-hour “Kid’s Pick The President” election special and she’s absolutely thrilled about it!
She told the Hollywood Reporter:
Voting in my first election when I was 18 was extremely important to me and now more than ever, it’s crucial that this next generation of kids grow up with an understanding of our political system and how they can be agents of change.
I’m so proud to be a part of the Nickelodeon family and this special, which will teach kids about the election and empower them to stand up for what they believe in.
The election special will go over the basics of how the election works in America and reveal the results from an informal poll on who kids elect to win the 2020 Presidential Election; Republican nominee Donald Trump or Democratic nominee Joe Biden.
The election special will air on October 27 and kids will also discuss their thoughts and feelings concerning racial inequality, the COVID-19 pandemic, and climate change.
Kids can go online and cast their vote at KidsPickthePresident.com.
Make sure your kid(s) go online and cast their vote!
Shout out to Nickelodeon for creating this program to allow the youth to engage in the political process.
Keke Palmer is a great choice for a host because she is amazing with kids, and she is relatable and energetic.
