The family drama surrounding “Good Times” star John Amos is getting sadder by the day.
On the heels of elder abuse allegations, we have learned John’s son, Kelly Christopher Amos (K.C. Amos) was arrested over the weekend after making terroristic threats towards his sister, Shannon Amos.
Shannon contacted the West Orange, New Jersey police after K.C. allegedly sent her text messages about his supposed gang affiliations.
She also said she received text messages from her brother showing a handgun and a rifle.
In one video, K.C. Amos is allegedly firing a handgun in an open field and the caption read, “Gonna sleep much better tonight big sis.”
According to Robert Florida, spokesperson for the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office, Shannon Amos says K.C. suffers from bipolar disorder and believes she has hired someone to kill him.
Shannon is concerned her brother may try to retaliate.
We previously reported Shannon started a $500,000 GoFundMe in June for her father, John Amos, claiming that he “had fallen victim to elder abuse and financial exploitation.”
John said he doesn’t know why his daughter started the GoFundMe and the campaign was shut down when he refused to accept the donations.
An elder abuse investigation was launched in Colorado after Shannon filed an elder abuse complaint with the Custer County Sheriff’s Office.
But, in a shocking turn of events, John Amos (with K.C. by his side) claimed it was Shannon who was abusing him.
After that fiasco, Shannon Amos had K.C. removed as the power of attorney for their father and she sent him a cease-and-desist letter regarding comments he’s made about her online.
