The family of Jesse Powell has announced his memorial service.
The Grammy-nominated R&B singer transitioned to his heavenly home on Tuesday, September 13, in Los Angeles.
He was 51.
The Gary, Indiana native was a singer and songwriter best known for his beautiful 1996 R&B hit single, “You,” which was featured on his self-titled debut album.
The single peaked at no. 10 on the Billboard Hot 100 and no. 2 on the R&B charts.
Jesse is also the older brother of R&B singers Trina Powell and Tamara Powell, better known as Trina & Tamara.
In a post on her Instagram page, Tamara announced the arrangements for Jesse Powell’s memorial service.
The Official Memorial for our Beloved Jesse Powell will be held on September 28th, 2022.
We sincerely thank our friends, family and Jesse’s fans for all the love you have shown since Jesse’s passing.
Family & friends have been personally invited to attend. ??
Fans who would like to be a part of the memorial service may do so by making a donation to the family in the form of flowers, balloons, or cash to receive a private link to view the memorial service virtually.
The suggested amounts for the cash donation are $150 or $250.
The suggested amounts for the balloon donation is $50 or $100.
Flower donations begin at $59.95 up to $1,399.95.
