Jeannie Mai is asking a judge to deny or at least hold off on Jeezy’s motion to enforce their prenuptial agreement because she didn’t have enough time to review it before signing.
Monaco’s mama filed a request on Thursday in Fulton County Superior Court saying they started negotiating the terms of the prenup just five days before their wedding and she doesn’t feel like she had adequate time to thoroughly review the agreement as well as Jeezy’s financial disclosures.
She also noted that the short amount of time she was given to review and agree to the terms of the prenuptial agreement “raises significant concerns about the adequacy and thoroughness of the due diligence process.”
Jeannie Mai said she has “significant reservations” about Jeezy’s financial disclosures.
Her legal team says the rapper only submitted one personal financial statement with approximate taxes.
Jeannie said she is legally entitled to thoroughly examine all documents.
Jeezy, whose real name is Jay Jenkins, filed for divorce from the TV personality in September 2023 to end their two-year marriage.
In his filing, Jeezy stated he and Jeannie Mai were “currently living in a bona fide state of separation,” and that their marriage was “irretrievably broken” with “no hope for reconciliation.”
Jeannie, who said she was blindsided by the divorce filing, went radio silent for a month, but then she came back out swinging.
She alluded to Jeezy stepping out of their marriage.
He accused her of gatekeeping their daughter, Monaco.
Then, Jeannie Mai claimed she had serious concerns about Monaco’s safety in her father’s care because he has firearms in his home.
Now, they are bumping heads over their prenuptial agreement.
