Ja Rule took to social media to publicly condemn the way Irv Gotti “handled things” in regards to Ashanti during his appearance on “Drink Champs.”
In the interview, which has garnered nearly 3 million views, Irv talked about Ashanti like a dog, aired out their past sexual history, and called her out of her name multiple times.
Ja Rule, who was seated next to Irv during the interview, had a front row seat to the shenanigans and tomfoolery and did very little to stop the unnecessary disrespect of his so-called “sis.”
After receiving heavy criticism in the streets of social media, the rapper spoke out from a place of love and said Irv was out of line.
But, he also noted that he doesn’t like being in the middle of this mess and asked to be left out of it.
In a post on his Instagram page, JaRule wrote:
Brotherly love…
The last few days have been very turbulent for me but it’s time to land the plane…
I love my sis I love my bro but I DO NOT condone or agree with the behavior nor the way Gotti handled things on drink champs.
I hope y’all understand how uncomfortable this is for me being in the middle of something I wish to not be… going forward all I ask is to be left out of this please and thank you!!!
Sincerely Switzerland Bennett… ✌???❤️?❤️ #ICONN #Vibes

Meanwhile…back at the ranch, Ashanti has been Ray Charles to the BS.
She’s living in the present and celebrating 2 BILLION streams on Pandora (swipe embed) while Irv Gotti wallows in the past.
Do you think the criticism Ja Rule received for not defending Ashanti more was warranted?
