Country star Ingrid Andress admitted to being drunk during her performance of the National Anthem at baseball’s annual Home Run Derby on Monday night.

In light of the backlash from her performance, Andress announced she will be checking into a rehab facility to seek help.

“I’m not gonna bulls**t y’all, I was drunk last night,” Andress candidly wrote on Facebook, Instagram, and X (formerly Twitter).

“I’m checking myself into a facility today to get the help I need. That was not me last night. I apologize to MLB, all the fans, and this country I love so much for that rendition. I’ll let y’all know how rehab is. I hear it’s super fun.”

She signed the message with “xo, Ingrid.”

Speculation about Ingrid Andress’ condition had been circulating privately, with many observers noting that her performance seemed affected by more than just technical issues.

Performing at the Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas, Andress’ rendition of “The Star-Spangled Banner” was widely criticized for being off-key from the outset, a surprising mishap for the normally polished singer-songwriter.

Social media erupted with reactions to the performance, with many comparing it to other infamous renditions of the anthem, such as Fergie’s at the 2018 NBA All-Star Game and Roseanne Barr’s at a Padres game in 1990.

The incident quickly became a trending topic online, with users expressing both disappointment and concern for Ingrid.

Despite this recent incident, Ingrid Andress has had a successful career.

Since releasing her critically acclaimed second album, “Good Person,” in 2022, she has opened for major acts such as Stevie Nicks and Alanis Morissette and performed at the CMA Festival in Nashville last month.

Andress has been nominated for four Grammys, including Best New Artist in 2021.

Her breakthrough single, “More Hearts Than Mine,” reached the top 5 on the country charts in 2019, followed by another top 5 hit, “Wishful Drinking,” a duet with Sam Hunt, in 2021.

Before embarking on her solo career with the 2020 debut album “Lady Like,” Andress made a name for herself as a songwriter, co-writing hits like Charli XCX’s “Boys” and songs for artists such as Bebe Rexha, Fletcher, and LANY.
