Saweetie is trending in the icy streets of Twitter after her latest release, The Single Life, reportedly only sold 2,000 units.
The EP featured five tunes to get jiggy to including, “Don’t Say Nothin’,” “Bo$$ Chick,” “P.U.S.S.Y.,” “Handle My Truth,” “Memorable,” and “No Reception.”
Sadly, the EP wasn’t as well received as Saweetie would have liked or expected and social media is buzzing about it.
While some just weren’t feeling the music, many others are blaming her team for dropping the ball on this project.
Then, there was the debate over whether or not Saweetie was being disrespectful by firing shots at Quavo on the EP while he is mourning the tragic passing of his nephew Takeoff.
Sonny Digital reacted to the super low sales by tweeting, “13 million followers, hundreds of thousands likes on all pictures but the album sold less than 2000 copies. That’s crazy. The math ain’t adding up.”
DJ Vlad joined the convo writing, “If Saweetie did a VladTV interview she would have easily done 10X her first week sales, which was 2000 copies. We actually reached out through one of our people and were told ‘she won’t do Vlad.’ Her loss.”
Saweetie responded to Vlad denying it was her or her team who turned down the interview.
“Actually, I been a big fan & have screen recorded my favorite episodes.”
She added, “So, if anyone ‘reached out’ it wasn’t to me or my team, DJ Vlad. Happy Thanksgiving.”

Vlad responded again adding, “Thank you for the kind words, but actually, it is your team. Your publicist at Warner Bros is the one who blocked the interview. Same publicist who set up your interview with Shirley Ju. This is what happens when you have bad people in your corner making decisions on your behalf.”
Baller Alert joined the convo to add, “We always love and supported @Saweetie as she did with us early in her career. We had the same experience in recent years with that particular publicist passing on Baller Alert, be we will always wish her the best.”
Hitmaka chimed in on the convo to share his two cents.
“Saweetie selling 2k is bad A&R vibes. Someone’s supposed to tell u this ain’t it! I also have issues with her having multiple platinum singles & not sticking with same formula that got her here. Someone gotta get fired.”

Saweetie held her head up amid the chatter and tweeted, “Happy Thanksgiving icy gang & to my pretty gworls ?? I appreciate y’all & and am happy we gettin back to it ⚔️?? ready to start doing cute sh*t again!! Where my directors at to get the music videos poppin send them my way ??❄️”
