Gervonta Davis took to the streets of Instagram to vehemently deny putting his hands on the mother of his child after he was arrested in Florida on Tuesday for domestic violence.

According to TMZ, the 28-year-old boxer is accused of slapping the mother of his child with a “closed hand,” leaving her with an abrasion on the inside of her upper lip.

The Baltimore native was charged with battery causing bodily harm and was processed into the Broward County’s Main Jail Bureau in Fort Lauderdale.

In a lengthy post on social media, Gervonta Davis denied ever putting his hands on the mother of his child or his daughter.

“I am not a monster,” he wrote.

Gervonta went on to accuse people of trying to destroy him for financial gain.

“They doing this for money and also to destroy me! I am not a monster. I have two beautiful daughters that have to grow up someday and see this bullsh*t!”
