Fulton County Detention Officer Kawana Jenkins Fired & Arrested After Lewd Act With Inmate Was Captured On Cellphone

Fulton County detention officer Kawana Jenkins fired and arrested lewd sex act with inmate

Kawana Jenkins, a former detention officer with the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office, is facing over a dozen charges after she was accused of improper sexual behavior with an inmate.

A contraband cellphone that was recovered during a shakedown contained a video of Kawana, 36, engaging in a lewd sex act with an inmate.

In the video, you see Kawana Jenkins in uniform, sitting in a chair when a man’s hand appears from below her waist.

The man puts his hand to her mouth and she simulates a sex act on his fingers until the video ends.

Kawana, who has been an employee with the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office since December 2019, was fired and arrested

To add insult to injury, she was more than likely booked by her former coworkers.

Kawana Jenkins has been charged with two counts of improper sexual contact by an employee or agent, five counts of violation of oath by a public officer, two counts of reckless conduct, two counts of cruelty to inmates, and one count of giving an inmate a prohibited item without authorization.

Fulton County Sheriff Patrick “Pat” Labat said:

As Sheriff of Fulton County, I am committed to transparency and to holding each and every employee accountable to oath they have taken to protect and serve our community.

The actions of this one individual are certainly not a reflection of the men and women of the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office.

The vast majority of employees are to be commended for their integrity, commitment to service and the work they do day in and day out.

Kawana Jenkins made her first court appearance this week and a judge granted her bond.
