Former Disney star Kyle Massey who is known for his roles as Cory Baxter on “That’s So Raven” and “Cory in the House” has been charged with one count of communication with a minor for immoral purposes.
The felony charge alleges that Massey sent sexually explicit content to a 13-year-old girl during the months of December 2018 and January 2019.
According to the girl’s mother Massey has known her since she was 4-years-old.
The case is connected to a 2019 civil suit, in which, Massey was sued for $1.5 million for allegedly sending “numerous sexually explicit text messages, images, and videos” over Snapchat. Massey claimed he was being extorted.
The girl’s legal team convinced her and her mother to drop the civil suit and go to the Sheriff’s Office to file a report because they didn’t think Massey had enough money to make the civil suit worth it.
Police started investigating the case in 2020, and they were given a thumb drive by the girl’s mother containing the explicit material Massey allegedly sent over Snapchat when she was 13.
According to police the thumb drive contained a pornographic video clip and a video of a man who appears to be Massey exposing his penis.
Massey did not attend his arraignment that was scheduled on Monday in King County Criminal Court in Washington.
Reportedly, Massey has not responded to the allegations.
