DOJ Declines To Charge Officers In Tamir Rice Case

Flavor Flav said 9-1-1 is a joke and the Justice Department isn’t far behind.

On Tuesday, the DOJ announced no criminal charges will be brought against the two Cleveland police officers involved in the 2014 shooting death of 12-year-old Tamir Rice.

The decision officially brings their hate crime investigation to a close.

It a report, the DOJ said:

The government must prove beyond a reasonable doubt that the officers acted willfully. This high legal standard, one of the highest standards of intent imposed by law, requires proof that the officer acted with the specific intent to do something the law forbids. It is not enough to show that the officer made a mistake, acted negligently, acted by accident or mistake, or even exercised bad judgment.

Although Tamir Rice’s death is tragic, the evidence does not meet these substantial evidentiary requirements.

Tamir’s family waited SIX years for this?!

The Justice Department is Just Disappointing.

My heart and prayers are with Tamir’s loved ones.
