Darnell ‘SuperChef’ Ferguson: Food Network Star Arrested On Strangulation & Burglary Charges

Food Network star Darnell “SuperChef” Ferguson was arrested in Kentucky on Tuesday (January 9) on multiple charges including strangulation, burglary, and terroristic threats. 

Court records show an emergency order of protection was filed against SuperChef on January 2. 

In addition to the strangulation, burglary, and terroristic threat charges, Darnell Ferguson is reportedly facing misdemeanor charges of assault, menacing, criminal mischief, and theft-receipt of a stolen credit or debit card. 

WLKY News reports on January 2, Darnell Ferguson entered a woman’s home, strangled her until she passed out, then threatened to kill her. 

Ferguson was arraigned on Wednesday morning.

His bond was set at $10,000.

Darnell is currently the host of “SuperChef Grudge Match,” and the Food Network describes him as a celebrity chef, restaurateur, and entrepreneur. 

The site also noted that Darnell “SuperChef” Ferguson spends a lot of time giving back to his community of Louisville through his non-profit CAPE. 

Following the news of his arrest, SuperChef has deactivated his Instagram account.
