The Breakfast Club

Angela Yee took to the streets of Twitter on Tuesday evening and announced “The Breakfast Club” is “officially over.”

Without context or an explanation, Angela, who hosts the popular New York morning show on Power 105.1 alongside DJ Envy and Charlamagne Tha God, tweeted:

The breakfast club as you know it is officially over ??

GOD is good!

The fact that Angela noted “as you know it” leaves a lot open to interpretation.

Are they changing their format, changing hosts, or calling it quits?

Thinking about the future of The Breakfast Club

DJ Envy and Charlamagne have not made any remarks regarding the status or the future of the show at the time of this post.

The World’s Most Dangerous Morning Show debuted in December 2010 and is now nationally syndicated.

Their YouTube channel, which features their full interviews, Donkey of the Day, and their Rumor Report segments has garnered over 5 million subscribers.

The trio has interviewed many of the biggest names in entertainment, music, and politics including JAY-Z, my forever POTUS Barack Obama, Lizzo, Kanye West, Angela Bassett, and countless others.

If it is indeed the end, I guess a 12-year run isn’t bad.

I wish them well in their current and future endeavors.

This story is developing. I will update the post when more information becomes available.

UPDATE: Angela Yee has announced she is leaving “The Breakfast Club” to host her very own show.
