Paramount+ Japan will also stream the film on Friday, November 15. Directed by Emmy® and Peabody Award winner Beth Aala and produced by Abby Greensfelder’s Everywoman Studios for MTV Entertainment Studios, “Uncharted” made its world debut at the 2023 Tribeca Film Festival.

Uncharted” offers a rare behind-the-scenes glimpse into Alicia Keys‘ groundbreaking She Is The Music songwriting camp, shedding light on the challenges young Black and Brown women face while trying to break into the music industry.

The documentary spotlights the journey of several talented artists striving to create their next big hit.

Among them are Ayoni, a rising star from Barbados following in Rihanna‘s footsteps; DaVionne from Atlanta, who gained recognition collaborating with major artists before embarking on her own original projects; and Chicago’s Jean Deaux, a multifaceted artist who writes, records, produces, and tours all on her own.

Alicia Keys, the driving force behind the camp, emphasized the importance of female empowerment in the film, saying, “Everything done in this film was done by women in every capacity.

You get a true sense of the journey of these artists and the songwriting process which is so special.”
