It’s with a heavy heart that I report Lisa Banes passed away on Monday, June 14.

The actress, who starred in Cocktail and Gone Girl, was the victim of a hit-and-run accident on June 4 when she was struck by a scooter rider on the Upper West Side.

She was rushed to Mount Sinai St. Luke’s Hospital where she remained for 10 days.

Lisa died from her head injuries.

She was 65.

Seth MacFarlane, creator of “Family Guy,” tweeted:

I am deeply saddened at the news of Lisa Banes’ passing. We had the good fortune to work with her on ‘The Orville’ this past year. Her stage presence, magnetism, skill and talent were matched only by her unwavering kindness and graciousness toward all of us. A tremendous loss.

See the original tweet below.

My sincerest condolences and prayers to the Banes family and all who knew and loved Lisa.

May she Rest In Peace.
