Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis Announces indictments against Drug Rich Gang

Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis isn’t playing any games! Now, she is laser-focused on the Drug Rich Gang.

“If you thought Fulton was a good county to bring your crime to, bring your violence to, you were wrong. And you are going to suffer consequences.”

Drug Rich Gang Indictments

On Monday (August 29), she announced her office is now focused on the Drug Rich Gang based out of Dekalb County, Stone Mountain, and the Tucker area.

The hybrid gang is believed to have been active since 2016 and is comprised of Bloods, Crips, and Gangster Disciples.

They use identifiers like prescription bottles and money symbols in their jewelry and tattoos.

DA Fani Willis announced an indictment with 16 victims (some high profile) and 16 crimes allegedly committed by the Drug Rich Gang, and 26 defendants.

She said this gang has committed crimes in Union City, Atlanta, and Sandy Springs and primarily targets people who show off their wealth on social media.

“So, I do have a message for the public. Where it is kinda fun to put your things on social media and show off…unfortunately, these gangs are becoming more savvy…more sophisticated in the way that they target you,’ DA Willis said.

Celebrity Victims

Some of the victims of the Drug Rich Gang include Mariah Carey, Calvin Ridley of the Atlanta Falcons, Brad Guzan of the Atlanta United, Marlo Hampton of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta,” and Brittni Mealy, who is the mother of Future’s son, Prince Wilburn

“Thank God we don’t have a murder, but we have kidnapping, we have armed robberies, we have shootings, and we have home invasions,” DA Fani Willis said.

She also noted, “As they [the gangs] have gotten more savvy…so have we [law enforcement].”
