The first three episodes of the highly anticipated series, “Bel-Air,” premiere on Peacock on Super Bowl Sunday.

I checked out the episodes before the big game and to my delight, I absolutely loved it.

Set in modern-day America, “Bel-Air“ is a serialized one-hour dramatic analogue of the 90’s sitcom “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air” that leans into the original premise: Will’s complicated journey from the streets of West Philadelphia to the gated mansions of Bel-Air.

The series stars Jabari Banks as “Will,” Adrian Holmes as “Phillip Banks,” Cassandra Freeman as “Vivian Banks,” Olly Sholotan as “Carlton Banks,” Coco Jones as “Hilary Banks,” Akira Akbar as “Ashley Banks,” Jimmy Akingbola as “Geoffrey,” Jordan L. Jones as “Jazz,” and Simone Joy Jones as “Lisa.”

As a huge fan of the original series, the biggest hurdle for me was getting past the new look of the cast, but it didn’t take long before I was totally accepting and engulfed in the series.

15 minutes into the first episode, I took to Twitter writing:

I wasn’t the only one who took to Twitter to share my thoughts on “Bel-Air.”
