Ja Morant fixed his lips to verbalize that he would’ve “cooked” Michael Jordan if he would’ve played in his era during an interview with Bleacher Report’s Taylor Rooks.
Even Taylor had to reassess what Ja said and repeat his answer for clarity.
Ja Morant is the superstar NBA point guard for the Memphis Grizzlies who recently got a five-year rookie maximum extension worth $193 million, with the potential to reach $231 million.
Ja’s athleticism is unbelievable, and he is a great player, but he may want to win at least one NBA championship before he starts talking about cooking the G.O.A.T.
To Ja’s credit, he did pay homage to Michael Jordan before he started talking out the side of his neck.
And Taylor Rooks did kind of coerce him into saying he would cook MJ.
But once Taylor questioned him about it, he stood firmly by what he said.

Twitter, like most NBA fans, felt like Ja Morant was tripping.
