About The Film:
The Silent Twins is the astounding true story, based on the best-selling book, of twin sisters, June Gibbons and Jennifer Gibbons.
The sisters only communicated with one another.
As a result, they created a rich, fascinating world to escape the reality of their own lives.
In 1981, the sisters committed a number of crimes including vandalism, petty theft, and arson.
As a result, they were admitted to Broadmoor Hospital, a high-security mental health hospital.
They were sentenced to indefinite detention under the Mental Health Act of 1983.
June Gibbons and Jennifer Gibbons remained at Broadmoor for eleven years.
The film stars Letitia Wright and Tamara Lawrance.
