Splash brother numero uno Stephen Curry changed the NBA forever with his amazing shooting ability, and now he plans to change the game again with his Curry Brand partnership with Under Armour.
Stephen Curry partnered with Under Armour to create Curry Brand, which will feature footwear, apparel, and accessories, and the brand will be dedicated to giving back to the community with a commitment to invest a percentage of revenue in under-resourced communities.
According to Under Armour, “by 2025, the Curry Brand aims to create at least 20 safe places to play, support 125 programs that impact young athletes, and deliver opportunities to train more than 15,000 coaches — making an overall impact on more than 100,000 youth.”
Curry is very excited about his new endeavor with Under Armour and the Dec. 1 launch of Curry Brand.
Curry Brand is all about doing good in everything that we do. I’ve tried to embody that in my own actions, and I think it’s also something that other people can really get behind no matter where they are in life or what their goals are, sports or otherwise. We all have the ability to impact the next person and to give back in some way, and that’s more important now than ever before.
We have a shared goal of unlocking play for kids, so that became a natural place for us to focus. I grew up doing a lot of things to give back to the community with my family — and continue that now — while Under Armour has done so much to support athletes around the world.
The official announcement contain all the philanthropic efforts of the Curry Brand.
Curry will be actively involved in the development of the product, and he shared a dope video promoting the brand on his Instagram account.
This is a busy month for Curry with his brand launch on Dec. 1, his new shoe releasing on Dec. 11, and the NBA season officially starting on Dec. 22.
Curry has NBA centers taking 3-point shots on a regular basis, and he has amazingly made the 3-point shot more popular than the slam dunk. I’m sure Under Armour is hoping that Curry has the same impact on Curry Brand that he has had on the NBA.
We wish Curry the best with his Brand, and we wish the Golden State Warriors a successful season.
