Stephanie Mills has entered the chat as the streets of social media continue to buzz about the Anita Baker concert that kept Babyface from sharing his “Whip Appeal” with concertgoers.
The show took place on Wednesday night at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey.
Apparently, there were technical difficulties that caused the show to start over two hours later than scheduled.
Because of the delay, Babyface says he was asked not to perform so that Anita Baker could perform her entire set.
The legendary R&B crooner took to social media to apologize to fans who were eagerly waiting to see her perform.
In a post on his Instagram page, Babyface wrote:
I am truly sorry to my fans who have been waiting for us to this the stage this evening at the Prudential Center.
I was asked not to perform in order to give Ms. Baker her space and time to perform her show in its entirety.
My band and I are extremely saddened we didn’t get to perform for y’all tonight.

Both Anita Baker and Babyface are trending on Twitter and Stephanie Mills entered the chat to share her two cents on the situation.
She also extended an offer for Babyface to tour with her.
The living legend wrote:
We have got to be better than this! I am saddened by the fact that you have to make this statement.
One would think as older artist who are considered “Iconic” and or “Legendary” we would treat each other with respect and dignity.
@Babyface We can tour together.

Stephanie Mills wasn’t the only one to weigh in on the situation.
Loni Love added, “I’m sorry… I opened for Ms. Baker 15 years ago and it was a stone trip… I had hoped she and her team had improved for the better over the years… Lawwd.”

Twitter is cutting up about the debacle. Read a few tweets below.
One thing is for certain…if Stephanie Mills announces a concert with Babyface I’m going to be at the venue as soon as they turn the lights on.
