Despite our previous report, Spice is not pregnant – it was simply a publicity stunt to draw attention to the dancehall artist for the rollout of her new single, “God A Bless.”
You may recall that the Grammy-nominated artist and “Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta” star suffered a serious medical crisis last year that sparked rumors of her being in a coma.
Spice, whose real name is Grace Hamilton, shared that she suffered a damaged hernia that sent her body into sepsis.
A hernia occurs when an internal organ or other body part protrudes through the wall of muscle or tissue that normally contains it.
Sepsis, also commonly known as “blood poisoning,” is typically caused by a bacterial infection.
Spice went Live on Instagram on Friday (March 17) and during an 84-minute video, she explained that she began to develop fibrosis in her abdomen after having a liposuction procedure done.
Fibrosis is the thickening and scarring of connective tissue, usually as a result of injury and it began to cause lumps visible lumps in her belly.
Spice shared that she went to the Dominican Republic last year to have her breast implants updated and she chose to go there because she wanted to stay low-key.
While getting a consult for her breasts, the doctor also consulted her about removing the fibrosis in her belly.
She agreed to have the procedure done because it was supposed to be a minor surgery.
Afterward, she said she was fine and even went on vacation to the beach.
But, when she became severely ill, she was rushed to the hospital.
Unfortunately, Spice was unaware that she had a hernia prior to undergoing the procedure and it was damaged.
Spice said, “I died in the E.R.”
As far as the pregnancy publicity stunt is concerned, Spice said that it wasn’t her intention to offend anyone.
She also issued an apology to anyone who was offended and explained that it was simply about celebrating the new life God has given her.
It was just about celebrating my new life, giving God glory, giving God thanks for this new life, for this new journey.
It’s like a rebirth. I’m a brand new person. I feel rejuvenated.
Big up to father God. Big up to Jesus. He gave me a brand new life and that’s all I’m celebrating.

I am so happy that God saw fit to spare Spice’s life and bring her through a devastating health crisis.
But, I am not a fan of publicity stunts – especially grown women who pretend they are pregnant for attention.
You may recall the time that Spice pretended to bleach her skin for a song about colorism.
