Smithsonian’s National Museum of African American History & Culture To Reopen This Month

Great news! The National Museum of African American History and Culture will reopen its doors on the 18th of September…but there will be some changes.

Due to COVID-19, the museum will be closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.

Operating hours will be from Wednesday through Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Walk-up visitors will no longer be allowed and everyone ages 6 and up are required to wear a mask. 

The gift shop and restaurant will be closed as well. 

You will still need to go online to secure your free timed entry passes.
