Shania Bell, the mother facing child endangerment charges because she left her daughters alone in a motel to go to work, has received over $165,000 in GoFundMe donations.
Shania’s two daughters Faith, 9, and Jade, 3 were left in a Motel 6 room in Liberty Township, Ohio, while she went to work at a Little Caesars down the street.
The children’s father alerted the police that the girls were left alone and Shania was arrested, jailed, and charged with two counts of child endangerment.
What kind of father does this? A more understandable plan of action would have been to try to help find some type of child care for the girls.
Shania explained could not afford to pay for child care, so she did the best she could in her situation and made sure she checked on her daughters hourly.
My kids bring me joy. They make me laugh. They’re my world. I would never do anything to harm my kids. My kids are everything to me. That’s all I do is go to work and take care of my kids. That’s all I do.
I had to go to work. My daughter decided that she wanted to stay here. My daughter told me that this is where she wants to be, and I felt that she was old enough to be able to stay here with her sister for a few hours because my job is right down the street.
I never set blame on anybody for anything because at the end of the day nobody left my kids in the hotel but me. I’ve cried a couple of times since this situation started. I’m just trying to keep a level head and trying to stay strong because that’s all I can do.
A lot of people are saying hurtful things, but a lot of people are also being there for me and showing great support.
I didn’t ask for that, but people gave it to me, and I’m just over appreciative to what’s going on.
Shania was arrested a week ago at Little Caesars, but many people can relate to her story, including some celebrities.
Pierre “Pee” Thomas the owner of the hip-hop record label QC made a $10k donation and he expressed empathy for Bell’s situation.
Someone get me this young lady info. My mom used to have to do the same thing when we were young, not cause of abandonment issues, it’s because people can’t afford child care working at a pizza shop. She wasn’t hanging out at a club. She was at work.
Cleveland Cavaliers player JaVale McGee also showed support with his $5k donation.
The GoFundMe page was set up by Shania’s mother Danielle Hosey, and the page has received support from around the country since Shania’s story went viral.
Shania and her mother are very grateful for the donations.

So many of you took time to write personal messages and I didn’t have a chance to read all of them, but I did attempt to read and respond to as many as I could.

Shania pleaded not guilty to the child endangerment charges, and her next hearing is in April.
Shania also has a 7-year-old son name Jai’Sean, but he was not with his sisters on the day in question.
Our prayers are with Shania and her family, hopefully, cooler heads will prevail and the charges will be dropped.

I definitely don’t believe she should have been jailed. However, it has brought awareness to her plight. She has received donations, that could help her, moving forward, hopefully the judge is empathetic and this young queen can move forward. I’m praying for her and her children.
If I was a judge, I would not charge her, I would make the sorry father pay her child support.
She did what she had to do to take care of them kids and I respect that ❤️
Can someone offer her a job with better benefits. As a mother we are face with all types of decisions we need to make. The need to provide for her children was far greater than a simple man. This mom did what was needed. I pray the system finds leniency.

I salute you and no judgement here neither should there be from anyone ,not even the corrupted system who sees you as a criminal instead of a Loving,Caring mother who is more than willing to take sacrifice to be a provider for her kids.
As far as the deadbeat father who’s malicious ways caused harm to his own children by separating them from their mother whom is obviously the only provider and loving parent. Instead of trying to hurt her he should have been a MAN and helped her with the lives he played a part in bringing into this world.
I to am a single parent and until one can walk in your shoes to understand how you fill them nobody should have anything to say if they are not bringing solution.
It’s sad that it had to come down to Shania being arrested for leaving her girls to work to provide for them. First and foremost the father should have stay with the girls or even took them with him until she got off from work. Now how do that make you look as a father. It’s called co-parent do your part. I pray that everything works out in favor. Putting her in jail isn’t going to do nothing to help her better the situation.
She did what she had to do for her family. I f she was out in a club yes send her to jail but trying to support her family no. Please dismiss the charges and let her be.
She did exactly what she needed to do! She has to work to fees, Take care of her children! It’s hard to pay bils & Daycare when Daycare is the same as your rent. Than most are only open from 8am to 5pm so if she worked at night who else was going to watch her children! If the so called Dad was so concerned help her pay for Daycare! His daughter didn’t even went to go with her Dad so that speaks volumes on him! I salute you Ma’am you did what you had to do so don’t let these naysayers who’ve never been in this situation try to tell you anything different ever!!
