Police have released security footage which shows Courtney Clenney attacking her boyfriend, Christian “Toby” Obumseli, in an elevator months before she killed him.
She and her attorneys argue the killing was in self-defense.
A day after her arrest, security footage showing Courtney brutally attacking Christian in an elevator in February.
She’s seen slapping and punching Christian, and she even pulls his hair.
Christian does his best to keep her off of him and eventually begins to push her away from him until they exit the elevator.
According to her arrest warrant, “Courtney and Christian had a tempestuous relationship since Nov 2020, with multiple incidents of domestic violence from both sides over the period of the relationship.”

The arrest warrant details a series of events that led up to the day Christian “Toby” Obumseli was murdered.
Courtney and Christian moved into the apartment at One Paraiso in January 2022.
The last week of March, Courtney kicked him out of the apartment while her mother was in town visiting.
After her mother left, Courtney and Christian reconciled and she allowed him to move back in on April 1.
Later that night, they were arguing and police came out to find Courtney Clenney intoxicated.
On Sunday, April 3, Christian “Toby” Obumseli left their apartment at 1:15 p.m. and returned at 4:32 p.m.
Courtney was on the phone with her mother, Deborah Clenney, at 4:43 p.m. and ended the call at 4:56 p.m.
Deborah told police she was on the phone with her daughter at the time of the stabbing.
Christian died from being stabbed in the heart.
