Rajon Rondo allegedly pulled a gun on the mother of his children, Ashley Bachelor, after she interrupted a video game between him and his son.
Rondo and Ashley are no longer together, but they co-parent their two children.
Ashley filed an emergency order of protection on Friday (May 13), and she wrote the following:
I am extremely fearful for my safety and for the safety of my children. Rajon has a history of volatile, erratic, explosive behavior.
He is verbally, emotionally, and financially abusive. He physically hits our son and calls him names like ‘p***y’ and accuses him of acting like a ‘b**ch.’
Rajon verbally assaults our daughter. He calls her names like ‘thot, b**ch, and d**khead.’ Rajon has made several threats on my life, saying at various times he will shoot me or shoot up my car.
According to Ashley, while Rondo Sr. and Rondo Jr. were playing video games, she asked Rondo Jr. to separate laundry, and Rondo Sr. went berserk.
She said he ripped the game console plug out of the wall and started smashing everything, in front of their children.
Ashley said she tried to deescalate the situation, and Rondo responded by allegedly saying, “You’re dead.”
He left the home and returned within 15 minutes banging on the back door with his gun.
She told him to stop out of fear, but he didn’t listen and told her to “Go get my f****** son!”
Ashley said she feared if she didn’t comply, Rondo would do something bad, so she brought Rondo Jr. downstairs, but she kept the back door closed.
She says Rondo Jr. opened the door, and Rondo Sr. “yanked him outside,” while still holding his gun.
He then demanded their daughter come outside, and he yelled at both kids for being afraid of him.
Ashley said Rondo’s parents eventually showed up, and although they weren’t able to calm him down, he did leave the scene.
She now fears for her and her kids’ safety, and she filed the emergency order of protection on May 13.
The incident took place on May 11.
A local judge granted protection for Ashley and her children.
Rondo is a 2x NBA Champion (Celtics in 2008, and the Lakers in 2020), and he ended this NBA season with the Cleveland Cavaliers.
He is rumored to have started dating fashion designer Latoia Fitzgerald in early 2020.
Reportedly, Rajon Rondo has not been arrested or named a suspect.
