Paris Jackson said people “lost their f**king minds” because she didn’t wish her father, Michael Jackson, a Happy Birthday via social media on what would have been his 65th birthday.
The 25-year-old model, actress, and singer, whose full name is Paris-Michael Katherine Jackson, took to her Instagram Story to address the foolishness saying some folks went as far as telling her to “kill herself.”
She explained:
So, today is my dad’s birthday and back when he was alive he used to hate anybody acknowledging his birthday, wishing him a Happy Birthday, celebrating it – nothing like that.
He actually didn’t want us to even know when his birthday was because he didn’t want us to throw a party or anything like that.
That being said social media is apparently how people express their love and affection these days and if you don’t wish someone a Happy Birthday via social media that apparently means that you don’t love them…you don’t care about them.
There have been times when I don’t post anything for my dad’s birthday and people lose their f**king minds – they told me to ‘kill myself.’
And they’re basically measuring my love for my own father based off what I post on Instagram.
I guess in an effort to satisfy folks, Paris Jackson shared a clip of herself on stage in Grand Junction, Colorado, where she is an opening act for Incubus’ tour.
The video shows her paying homage to her father on his birthday and thanking him for paving the way for her to be able to “scream into a microphone.”
In closing, Paris encouraged people who love her father so much that they would tell his daughter to take her own life to do something constructive in his honor like donate their time or money to a charity to heal the world and make it a better place.

Paris is going to eventually learn the best thing she can do is let folks stay mad.
