Atlanta Braves Release Statement
The Braves organization has released a statement in response to Marcell’s DUI arrest.
“The Atlanta Braves are aware of Marcell Ozuna’s arrest this morning and are still gathering all the facts pertaining to the incident. Our organization takes these matters very seriously and are obviously disappointed by the situation. As this is a legal matter, we will have no further comment until the process is complete.”
Domestic Violence Arrest
Sadly, this isn’t Marcell’s first run-in with the law.
Last year, Marcell Ozuna was arrested and charged with felony assault following a domestic violence incident where he choked his wife in front of Sandy Springs police.
The assault was captured on police body cam footage and was later released by the media.
Marcell agreed to enter a pretrial diversion program which included three to six months of supervision and completion of a 24-week family violence intervention program.
He also had to attend anger management and complete 100 hours of community service.
The charges were ultimately dropped, but Marcell was suspended for the rest of the Atlanta Braves season.
Watch the news report below.
Marcell has been released from jail and I pray he gets the help that he needs before he throws everything away!
