On episode 7 of “Love & Hip Hop Family Reunion“, Jonathan’s gay pride event took a sharp turn when Amina Buddafly exposed Peter Gunz for not letting his son be a ladybug for Halloween, which led to a heated debate between ZellSwag and Bobby Lytes about their upbringing.
Jonathan’s gay pride event focused on gay conversion therapy, and he shared his personal traumas and experiences going through gay conversion therapy in the Dominican Republic when he was 8-years-old.
Jonathan informed the group that gay conversion therapy is still legal in many states, and he encouraged them to sign petitions and support him in his fight to try to abolish abusive therapy.
Peter was very verbally supportive of Jonathan at the event, and Amina Buddafly felt the need to rain on Peter’s parade by letting the group know that he wouldn’t allow his five-year-old son to be a ladybug on Halloween.
The group immediately turned on Peter, and he went off on Amina for not realizing how her statement could impact his life.
Bobby expressed that he was very offended that Peter wouldn’t allow his son to be a ladybug, and Zell told him that if you had a man in your life you would understand where Peter is coming from.
Which spiraled into an argument between Zell and Bobby about their upbringing.
A lot of people at the event told Amina she was wrong for bringing up Peter’s son because he is Peter and Tara’s child, and Amina told them she was touched by Jonathan’s topic and she felt like she needed to say something.

By the end of the episode, Zell and Bobby made up, but we have to wait until next week to see how Amina’s words impact her relationship with Peter and Tara.
