I know the Clippers performance in the semifinal round of the NBA Bubble Playoffs was wack, but they didn’t have to do Doc Rivers like that!

The Los Angeles Clippers were up 3-1 in the best of 7 game series against the Denver Nuggets and they were favored to win the series, but they allowed the Denver Nuggets to win 3 straight games and advance to the Western Conference Finals.

Many NBA analysts and basketball fans, including myself, favored the Los Angeles Clippers to win the NBA Championship this year, especially with the acquisitions of Kawhi Leonard and Paul George in the offseason.

As things turned out, Paul George underperformed in the playoffs, and the Clippers team never really seemed to find their chemistry in the NBA Bubble.

This marked Doc Rivers third team that has blown a 3-1 series lead in the playoffs.

The Clippers finished the regular season with the second best record in the Western Conference (49-23).

Doc Rivers amassed a 356-208 record during his 7-year tenure as head coach for the Clippers, and they only missed the playoffs 1 year out of the 7.

Monday, the 58-year old Rivers agreed to part ways with the Clippers organization.

The Clippers are eyeing assistant coach Tye Lue to replace Doc Rivers, but Tye Lue has an interview with the Philadelphia 76ers on Tuesday for a head coaching position.

Tye Lue is rumored to be the Sixers second choice behind Mike D’Antoni.

Tye Lue coached the 2016 Cleveland Cavaliers to an NBA Championship, he managed and inspired superstar personalities LeBron James, Kyrie Irving, & Kevin Love.

It must be cutting season in the Clippers camp because there is speculation that the Clippers may release players Montrezl Harrell, Marcus Morris, & Lemon Pepper Lou Williams due to poor production in the playoffs.

I knew it was a possibility that the Clippers would release Doc after they blew the 3-1 lead, but I thought they would at least give him one more year with Kawhi and George.

Who do you think would be a good coach for the Los Angeles Clippers?
